Matrices, Why Did It Have to be Matrices?
A Workshop by Benoit Ladouceur (Deputy director, Strategic Planning and Analysis Service, UQAM (Université du Québec à Montréal))
About this Workshop
Risk management is at its best when influencing decision making by optimizing the amount of risk your organization is taking.
Risk science is not about saying no to everything, it’s about dealing with risk in an intelligent manner.
While Monte Carlo simulations are a valuable method in the risk manager kit, this Indiana Jones-inspired talk will introduce alternatives for various problems, such as Agent-Based Models, Bootstrapping and a Dynamic Risk Assessment framework.
This workshop will prove useful for risk analysts who want to broaden their skills as well as managers who don’t want to use colors to make decisions that may sink or save the organization.
This year's theme will be Indiana Jones, because after so many years doing the impossible, he must be a great risk manager!
