Laura Arenas

Laura Arenas is a visionary Risk Officer with over a decade of international experience driving digital resilience and enterprise risk transformation across global financial and technology institutions. She currently serves as COO Risk Officer – Digital Resilience at Allianz Technology, where she leads the design and execution of global risk governance that integrates general risk, cyber, IT, and operational domains, while advising senior executives on AI, cybersecurity, and regulatory change.  

Previously, Arenas held senior leadership roles at CaixaBank, where she spearheaded automation in regulatory risk and IT governance and contributed to the ECB’s BIRD initiative. Earlier roles at Banc Sabadell, Morgan Stanley Capital International, and Deloitte built her origins in financial risk management and quantitative measures, establishing a strong foundation in banking, capital markets, and regulatory consulting.

She holds a PhD in Business focused on financial market behavior, risk modeling, and emerging technologies, and is a published thought leader with 10+ peer-reviewed articles, multiple book chapters, and global speaking engagements. She also serves as Global Ambassador for Women in AI and as a member of the editorial boards of leading international journals in risk and technology.
